[ Claude listens quietly to Jean Louis talk. The man has such an alluring way of presenting himself, speaking in that deep voice of his and making everything sound like quite a serious matter. Claude imagines it must be the same in parliament. Luxembourg's liberal leanings aside, there must be some reason that his party has sky-rocketed in such a way, unexpected even by the rest of the right wing.

Regardless, it's the most personal thing that the other man has said all evening and Claude weighs it in his mind for a moment, the implications. Did he like being at his grandmother's? Was her china actually cheap? Is that even the question at heart of the matter? Claude frowns slightly, stares down into his cup for a long moment, it's half-emptied and it'll only go one way from here. ]

You could suppose that she found it valuable, no matter the asking price, too.

[ Putting the cup down and looking up at Jean Louis with the slightest head tilt, Claude doesn't mean it as an invitation for political disagreement, it's more an attempt to widen the horizon of their dialogue. Undoubtedly, Jean Louis is man enough to take the polite correction. Undoubtedly, he's used to it.

They talked about drama, after all. ]
